About the Event:

Music of the Heart is a unique breath and sound journey that could be described as somewhere between an ecstatic Kirtan and a restorative Sound Bath, combining elements of Indian Classical Music, Nada Yoga, Vipassana meditation, and Sufi healing. To begin, participants are led into a deeply relaxed state through a combination of soothing flute and vocal music, guided meditation, and gentle breath and vocal exercises. From that place of depth and calm, I gently guide the group through meditative vocal improvisations, encouraging everyone to trust their inner-knowing, and participate in whatever way feels most comfortable in the moment. No two experiences are exactly alike, and can range from deeply meditative to highly ecstatic, but the effects people report consistently include: settling of the nervous system, reduced anxiety, increased energy, renewed self-trust, and emotional release.

-Pre-registration is encouraged, but walk-ins are always welcome.

-No experience is necessary. Come to all the classes, or just a few.
